The world is uncontestably a richer place because of Dixon’s musical contributions alone.  Believing that his work was not yet finished, Dixon devoted much of his time in the 60′s, 70′s and 80′s to the organization he founded, Blues Heaven Foundation.  His vision was to allow the echoes of great American Blues to continue to develop, to encourage a new generation of Blues greats, and to provide for the on-going welfare of senior blues musicians.
