I’m a french fan,I had the chance Back in 1982 to meet Mister Memphis Slim it was like for a fan of Elvis to speak with the king himself I was so moved, memphis slim was my king I’m a huge fan of his ,it is because of memphis slim that I did like chuck berry and because of chuck berry that I did like ac dc (hard blues band for me)and the english band Status Quo (boogie rock)…I did meditate on the sentence of Mr Dixon “Blues are the roots the rest are the fruits” it is so true it is like latin to french, italian and spanish languages..I made a journey in june 2008 from chicago to New orleans through Memphis (I saw his home over there near STAX soulsville USA)I did the road of blues..Clarksdale etc..I own all the taste that I have in Music to memphis slim thanks to his blues boogie I did love all the rest,and I’m so proud that he choose Paris to finish his life, he does not have and did not have the fame that he deserve.I’ll be back in chicago in june for the blues festival I’ll stop to your place for sure

True Music genius way ahead of his time. Rocked Beale Street during his time. You can still catch some of the greats on Beale Street paying today.

Come to Memphis and catch a few sets in some of the Best Blues Houses left in the world.
